A VIP Fundraising Event for Siouxland Christian Preschool

Situation

Due to increased enrollment, Siouxland Christian School needed to build a new preschool. As a private school, key donors were an integral part of making this construction start. 

Task

Overall Goal: Conceptualize a kid-friendly theme that will provoke a call to action for the target audience (parents, grandparents, local supporters).

Action

Worked with local vendors to support the event in exchange for varying levels of advertisement. Communicated directly with donors regarding the event, the preschool proposal, donation levels, and all follow-ups for donor recognition. Following the event, I created and ordered custom plaques that would later be placed on the preschool “donor wall”, situated right in the entrance of the new preschool. 

Result

Donation goals were exceeded, establishing “One Bright Night” as a success.

Fast forward to 2024: The brand new preschool has been built and has been operating for the last two years. Enrollment rates have risen, making Siouxland Christian Preschool a well-established and award-winning preschool.
